Job description

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Sales Associate to support our PVC Materials Department. Activities will include introducing new innovations, account management, business development, project tracking and budget generation.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales & Marketing Associate will work with other members of the team in all facets of the sales process to maintain and grow existing customers, create new customers, and to meet or exceed sales quotas while continuously striving to improve profitability. Areas of responsibility will encompass work on a cross functional level with sales, customer service and accounting, with involvement in product sales, inventory, logistics, and credit.  In addition to this sales responsibility, you will strive to learn the technical components of our products to provide further value to our customers.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Retain and grow existing accounts while generating new and repeat business
  • Utilize digital marketing channels, CRM tools, and online campaigns to identify leads, support sales efforts, and expand market reach
  • Identify new opportunities by leveraging customer relationships and asking market-focused questions
  • Assess customer needs and expectations to recommend appropriate products and solutions
  • Propose alternative products based on cost, availability, or technical specifications
  • Prepare and present accurate, timely price quotations for new and existing customers, ensuring proper internal documentation
  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or complaints
  • Fulfil requests for catalogues, product information, and samples
  • Prepare sales reports as required
  • Set up and maintain accurate customer records and files
  • Educate customers on product terminology, features, benefits, and material grades to drive sales and satisfaction
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to resolve customer technical or processing issues efficiently
  • Provide timely guidance on material properties and recommend appropriate grades for specific applications and markets


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preference in Chemistry, Chemical or Materials Engineering or a combination of training and experience that indicates the ability to do the job
  • Working knowledge in Spanish and/or Portuguese
  • Competencies associated with a Technical Sales and Marketing professional with excellent communication skills.  A quick learning to understand the industry's customers in the US and worldwide, their specific requirements and needs as well as manufacturers' technical capabilities in production.
  • A keen interest in the technology that would affect the direction of the industry and the subsequent business opportunities
  • Should possess the ability to adapt to a cross-cultural environment. 
  • Knowledge on digital tools and its application in a data driven market approach.
  • Hybrid (e-commerce & traditional sales) business sales process.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally.
