Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our CT Technologist you will be a vital part of our Imaging Services team, performing a full range of cutting-edge diagnostic procedures. In this direct patient care role, you'll utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment, including Computed Tomography (CT), X-ray, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and PET, to provide critical insights for diagnosis and treatment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to comprehensive patient care at Saint Mary's Community Hospital, leveraging your expertise in medical imaging to drive positive health outcomes.
Every day you will expertly assess patients, explain procedures with clarity, and assist physicians in interventional radiology by performing precise techniques like needle localization, aspirations, and biopsies. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring radiation safety compliance by utilizing lead protection, adhering to "Image Gently" and "Image Wisely" standards, and meticulous selection of equipment and technical factors. Your responsibilities will extend to comprehensive image quality assessment, equipment maintenance, and ensuring complete and accurate patient history documentation, all while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and reporting any incidents through our CHI incident reporting system.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities, perform venipunctures, and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment. A strong commitment to quality improvement, adherence to ACR accreditation processes, and foundational knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission requirements are essential for this impactful position.
