Job summary:
To assist in providing a safe worship environment for parishioners and to serve as the primary response team for any emergency situation that occurs.
Job description:
Responsible for securing Brown Missionary Church premises, including buildings, senior housing, and parking lots.
Responsible for conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access points of entry, securing equipment, responding to emergency situations, assisting with crowd and traffic control during special events and monitoring surveillance equipment CCTV
Greeting, assisting and directing members, staff, visitors, and students of the public.
Performing shift handover procedures at the end of each shift to ensure all matters of concern are noted and passed for the purposes of service and incident management
Writing complete and accurate incident reports and taking appropriate action.
Responsible for carrying out all security duties as specified, including internal and external patrols
Minimum Education and/or Training:
● High school diploma/GED required
Minimum Experience:
● 3-years of prior experience in a security program
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required by Law: Armed Security License
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Brown Missionary Baptist Church Only:
● LC: DLD-TN or DLD-ARK or DLD-MISS or DLD-RESIDE. MV
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
● Operate a variety of machines and equipment including automobiles, office equipment, radio, and telephone.
Must be able to become certified to operate other equipment assigned to assist in performing their essential job
functions.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively deal with employees, students, parents, members and visitors.
