Job description

At Mother’s Market, we're dedicated to wellness through exceptional retail experiences. As a Produce Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our produce department, ensuring quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Hourly Pay: $24.00 hourly up to $75,000.00 annually

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily operations: Oversee produce department workflows; manage inventory, pricing, and product placement.
  • Support & develop staff: Coordinate training, manage schedules, and provide leadership to team members.
  • Ensure quality standards: Monitor product freshness, remove spoilage, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Track performance: Review sales and labor metrics; implement strategies to meet department goals.
  • Enhance merchandising: Create attractive produce displays and execute product placement strategies.
  • Take initiative: Step into staff roles as needed, including opening, closing, and covering shifts.

What You Bring

Experience & Skills:

  • Prior experience in retail produce and strong customer service techniques.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Verbal proficiency in English.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, squat, bend, and lift/carry boxes up to 70 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including produce coolers and wet racks.

Schedule Requirements
Flexible availability across various shifts and locations including weekends and evenings
