Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Mission Assurance Engineer. This position will be located at Colorado Springs, CO and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Support Mission Assurance (MA) functions to ensure mission success

  • Perform technical reviews of all Sentinel drawings, SOW's, and Requirements documents as required.

  • Perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of Sentinel tasking.

  • Provide MA leadership and oversight to critical program reviews including design reviews, test readiness reviews, certifications and sell offs.

  • Identify MA and Quality resource requirements to ensure mission success.

  • Assist the SEIT Segment lead with all Sentinel Mission Assurance /Program Management requirements.

  • Develop, implement and maintain the Sentinel Program Quality Plan.

  • Lead/facilitate segment level FRBs and MRBs ensuring identification of root cause and proper implementation of corrective actions and reach back and reach across.

  • Lead preparation and execution of Program Preventive and Corrective Action Board (PCAB). Develop and maintain Segment level Program Metrics.

  • Support preparation of Program Management Review packages.

  • Support Supplier Mission Assurance with technical expertise and oversight of suppliers

  • Provide guidance and expertise to supporting professional development of MA & QA engineers.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree and 12 years experience OR a Master's of Science Degree and 10 years experience OR a PhD and 8 years experience.

  • Experience with Nuclear Surety, Cybersecurity, or System Security.

  • Experience in Aerospace/Missile Systems/Sub-Systems design, development, test, or sustainment.

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience quality management systems to support program processes, audits, and improvement (AS9100D/ISO 9001/Military Quality Assurance)

  • Experience with Systems Engineering

  • Experience with Configuration Management/Data Management

  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)

  • Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metrics reporting for overall program and segments

  • Experience with program PCAB and driving process improvements

  • An active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance

Colorado Pay Range:

Minimum: $ 161,000.00

Maximum: $ 241,400.00

Primary Level Salary Range: $161,000.00 - $241,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
