Job description

Job Title: Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst
Location: Huntsville, AL (Redstone Arsenal)
Crossflow Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This critical role will involve working with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation data in support of MDS Ground Test (GT) events, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, and MDS Flight Tests. The focus will be hands-on support for MDA's distributed software simulation framework, OSF.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide M&S framework analysis support for CDI activities, GT events, and Flight Tests.
  • Perform analysis on the status of current and future capabilities in OSF.
  • Review test data to detect and troubleshoot issues associated with simulation performance and accuracy.
  • Ensure event data quality and integrity through verification and validation analysis of test data.
  • Develop and run Python tools to support M&S analysis activities.
  • Document and communicate analysis results across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with teams of analysts and engineers to ensure the successful execution of test simulation campaigns.

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Python scripting language.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills
  • Possess the ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, takes an active role to ensure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with MDA Ground Test CONOPS.
  • Familiarity with Objective Simulation Framework (OSF).
  • Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure truth presentation to element models (SMHR, signatures, environment).
  • Knowledge of HWIL architecture infrastructure, including truth presentation utilizing Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) adapter, and/or Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS) adapter.
  • Experience with data analysis libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
  • Preferred NSITE Experience
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts.
  • Familiarity with Cloud computing concepts.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau, Power BI).

  • 0-10% Travel

Education & Experience:
  • BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited university
  • 3-10 years' experience

Clearance
  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance

401(k) RETIREMENT PLAN & COMPANY MATCHING
Crossflow uses Principal as our 401(k) plan sponsor. Employees can choose payroll deduction and fund investing options. Payroll deductions will begin the month following your enrollment. Crossflow matches 100% of the first 3% of compensation, plus 50% of the next 2% of compensation.

GENEROUS PTO ACCRUAL & FLEXIBLE LEAVE POLICY
Crossflow currently grants 11 federally observed paid holidays. In addition to these holidays, Crossflow offers a minimum of 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) to all full-time employees. Employees may utilize PTO for any reason (sickness, vacation, personal day, etc.) and can carry over a maximum of 120 hours from year to year. Many employees are authorized to work additional hours within a normal, forty-hour pay period. This approval is included in the employee's offer letter for employment. These extra hours may be banked for compensatory (comp) time off.
