Northrop Grumman Defense has an opening for a Systems Engineer (level 2) / Principal Systems Engineer (level 3). This role will be a vital member of the AVE Modeling and Simulation and Analysis (AVE MS&A) team responsible for AVE performance and flight assessment. What you will get to do: Executing trajectory simulation tools, both in 3 and 6 degrees of freedom, analyzing the results of those simulations, developing algorithms for missile targeting software Implementing numerical methods, as well as other missile models.

Trajectory simulations support, but are not limited to, payload to range, post boost vehicle maneuverability, weapon system effectiveness, accuracy, vehicle environment characterization, and flight test predictions. Missile targeting software generates trajectory profiles to be used when carrying out the mission. Basic Qualifications: T02: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters T03: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S

Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis experience of Aerospace Vehicles through either professional work experience or education performing physics based simulation and analysis Experience with Git Excellent technical writing skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: Preferred to have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs C++ programming experience Experience with mission level simulations (Red vs. Blue, e.g

#SentinelSystems Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
