Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Duties, Responsibilities & Other:
This position is for an underground foreman with a minimum of 4-8 years of underground experience in open trench.
  • Work with construction manager for in-field project set up
  • Lead and direct 4-man crew to safely complete projects.
  • Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions.
  • Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized.
  • Administer monthly safety meetings.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Understand as-built drawings, roadway plans, and create legible field sketches.
  • Possess leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience placing underground cable a plus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
  • Know Miss Utility Law.
  • Minimum 4 years of underground excavation and shoring experience.
  • Operate and maintain mini excavators.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation within 30 days. Having a current Commercial Driver's License is a plus.
  • OSHA certification a plus
