Job description

Description:

POSITION: LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER DIAGNOSTICIAN 2026-2027 School Year


STATUS: PRN, up to 29 hours per week


PAY: Per completed report or $47 per hour


REPORTS TO: Testing Supervisor


LOCATION: Testing in St. Louis City charter schools, private evaluations, and public schools outside of St. Louis County (preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, and college).



Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in social work
  • LCSW fully licensed in Missouri
  • 2 years of experience evaluating children and adolescents for mental health issues
  • Good understanding of DSM-5-TR diagnoses
  • Proficient with technology
  • Transportation to various schools within the St. Louis area
  • Able to utilize personal computer to submit reports in a timely manner

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct psychosocial evaluations in a private setting to diagnose ADHD, anxiety, depression and other DSM-5-TR disorders.
  2. Diagnose disorders using the DSM-5-TR manual.
  3. Conduct diagnostic interviews and observations with clients and their parents, interview teachers as needed, and distribute and score social/emotional/behavioral rating scales as part of a comprehensive Psycho-Social Evaluation
  4. Write professional reports, including assessment results and interpretation, as well as diagnostic impressions, and make appropriate recommendations based on findings.
  5. Complete reports within DESE specified time periods when necessary.
  6. Facilitate report review meetings with parents and/or school personnel.
  7. Review psycho-educational reports and render DSM-5-TR diagnoses, including Specific Learning Disorders.
  8. Collaborate with school psychologists, speech/language pathologists, and occupational therapists also conducting evaluations with the same child.
  9. Make mental health recommendations to school psychologists to add to psycho-educational reports.
  10. Other duties as set by the supervisor.
