Job description

Miriam Learning Center provides special education support services to children who attend St. Louis charter schools, public, parochial and private schools. Yearly, over 1100 children receive special education support from Miriam at their school, at our Center located at Miriam School in Webster Groves, or in the child's home or community library.
POSITION: SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST THERAPIST AND/OR DIAGNOSTICIAN 2026-2027 School Year
STATUS: PRN, up to 29 hours per week, flexible scheduling
PAY: per case; PRN
REPORTS TO: Testing Supervisor
LOCATION: Partner schools are located in the City of St. Louis (charter schools). Private clients are evaluated at our Webster Groves campus.
POSITION SUMMARY: Miriam Learning Center is hiring a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist, PRN, for the 2026-2027 school year to perform speech/language evaluations. The Speech/Language Pathologist evaluates speech, receptive language, expressive language, and pragmatic language skills for children and adolescents and provides a written evaluation report based on findings and presents those findings to parents and/or school staff, including providing appropriate treatment/intervention recommendations to improve upon deficit areas.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree from an accredited school
  • Licensed in the state of Missouri
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association
  • Experience in providing speech and language evaluations and treatment to children and/or adolescents in a school-based setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. To provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of each child's strengths and weaknesses as they relate to speech/language pathology issues.
  2. To write a comprehensive evaluation report summarizing findings and making appropriate recommendations.
  3. To meet with parents and/or school staff to provide feedback on test results and findings.
  4. To maintain contact with other professionals to ensure coordinated evaluation efforts.
  5. To submit billing and payroll in a timely manner.
  6. Any other duties as specified by the supervisor and/or school staff.
