Graduate Mining Engineer (East Tennessee Mines)

Graduate Mining Engineer Crucible ETN is a growth-oriented metals manufacturing company focused on producing high-quality zinc products through safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible processes. At Crucible ETN, employees play a vital role in supporting reliable operations and delivering value to our customers and communities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Promote and demonstrate safe behavior at all times
  • Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed CHESS goals in support of the department, site and company standards
  • Participate in daily crew safety meetings
  • Initially will spend 12 months working as part of the underground operation team, rotating through various roles and gaining familiarity with the underground mining process. Following that will be moved to an engineering role.
  • Create mining plans for the direction of operations including development plans, drilling designs, blast plans, etc.
  • Conduct post mining reconciliation reviews.
  • Develop 7+21 schedules to coordinate mining activities and present these to the technical and operating team.
  • Liaise with other members of the operational and technical team.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Degree majoring in Mining Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Preferably 1-year relevant experience in the mining industry or proof of mine site intern work.
  • Computer literacy Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all engineering tasks.
  • Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
  • Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.
