Job description

Shop Foreman – MINI of Universal City | North Hollywood, CA
$10,000–$12,000 monthly + performance-based bonus opportunities

Lead the Team. Drive Performance. Keep the Adventure Moving.

At MINI of Universal City, we believe driving should feel like a proper good time—and the same should be true of building your career.

We’re looking for a hands-on Shop Foreman who can jump right into the thick of it: diagnosing tough problems, supporting technicians, and keeping the workshop running smoothly, efficiently, and with a bit of MINI flair.

This isn’t a desk job. It’s a working leadership role for someone who knows what good looks like in the bay, isn’t afraid to pick up a wrench, and can help bring order, speed, and quality to a busy service drive.

What You’ll Do

  • Run daily shop flow and dispatch work based on technician skill, efficiency, and priorities
  • Step in on complex diagnostics and proper tricky repairs when needed
  • Keep work moving through the shop—removing bottlenecks and keeping turnaround times sharp
  • Ensure repairs are done right the first time, aligned with MINI and manufacturer standards
  • Partner closely with Service Advisors to keep communication clear and customers well taken care of
  • Monitor shop productivity, efficiency, and overall performance
  • Coach and support technicians to build skill, confidence, and consistency
  • Reduce comebacks through strong quality control and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
  • Set the tone daily: accountability, urgency, teamwork, and pride in the work

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong diagnostic and hands-on repair experience (MINI experience a plus)
  • Prior experience as a Shop Foreman, Master Tech, or Lead Technician preferred
  • Ability to lead by example—rolling up your sleeves and getting involved when needed
  • Solid understanding of dealership service operations and workflow
  • Strong communication skills with both technicians and advisors
  • High standards for quality, efficiency, and workmanship
  • ASE and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay with performance-based incentives
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company participation
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays
  • Ongoing manufacturer and technical training
  • Career growth opportunities within the group

Why MINI of Universal City?

MINI is not your average brand—it’s playful, precise, and full of personality. We build cars that feel like go-karts and a culture that values individuality, energy, and pride in craftsmanship.

You’ll be joining a team that values people who bring skill, humor, and professionalism into the workshop every day. We support growth, training, and long-term development within a respected automotive group.

If you can keep the shop sharp, support your technicians, and bring proper leadership to the service drive—we’d love to have a chat.

MINI of Universal City is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
