Job description

Position Summary:
The Manager on Duty provides support and leadership to all departments by managing and executing staffing plans, operations policies, company standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Directly oversees the daily operations of the attraction, including but not limited to: Mountain Coaster, Mini Golf, Ticketing, Retail, Food and Beverage, Photo, Maintenance, and Facility Operations.
• Acts as attraction and facility Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager or Operations Manager.
• Makes operational decisions regarding capacity, guest flow, and amount of coaster carts in use.
• Makes operational decisions regarding capacity and guest flow at mini golf.
• Conducts shift meetings with front line staff. Informs staff of daily events, groups, specials, sales goals, and operational opportunities.
• Prepares and reconciles daily deposits and takes cash and check deposits to the bank, ensure tills are prepared and reconciled, and any discrepancies are documented.
• Performs time audits, verifies hours, and takes action to minimize overtime while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Develop a daily plan to ensure breaks are provided daily following employment laws.
• Provides ongoing training and support to staff as needed.
• Leads team and reviews quality of work, makes recommendations, and helps as needed.
• Maintains operational, safety, cleanliness, and guest service standards.
• Interacts with guests to ensure the departments are operating at the highest of standards.
• Resolves guest complaints.
• Works directly with the Maintenance Staff to ensure safe operations that meet ASTM standards.
• Supervise Maintenance Staff as it relates to daily operation of the ride.
• Assist guests in the event of illness or injury.
• Assumes a leadership role in case of emergencies such as power outages, inclement weather, and ride incidents.
• Communicates any mechanical, facility, coaster track/cart, mini golf grounds, or other issues to the Maintenance staff and ensures they are fully resolved in a timely manner.
• Ensures all handbook policies and procedures are followed by all staff.
• Recruit, hire, orient, and train employees in all departments.
• Evaluates staff and makes recommendations for performance evaluations, disciplinary action and/or termination.
• Follows all handbook policies.
• Other duties, as assigned, or as needed to support the business.

• Able to work with minimal supervision.
Education & Experience Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent. College Degree preferred.
• Three (3) years supervisory/management experience in the field of entertainment, tourism or hospitality preferred.
• Strong computer skills required.
