Job description

Position: Instructor
Part-Time Up to 6 - 20 hours/week | Weekdays | Occasional Weekends | Morning, Afternoon, and Evening shifts available

What are we looking for?
We are looking for instructors, also known as Code Senseis, to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our instructors are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement either on-site, at a local school, or other outside venues.
Responsibilities include:
  • Create a fun, positive and safe environment in which students can learn and grow.
  • Evaluating student progress.
  • Provide feedback to parents after working with students.
  • Follow opening/closing duties daily which include maintaining corporate standards of cleanliness.
  • Report weekly to Center Director on progress.
  • Report daily to Center Director with respect to the day's activities, efficiency & productivity in the center.
  • Guide groups of up to 20 kids through coding using various platforms such as our proprietary platform, IMPACT, Minecraft Education, Roblox Studio, and Unity.
  • Working special events on or off-site.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the center.

Qualifications:
  • Energetic, Fun, Enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
  • Team player; Works well with others in a collaborative setting.
  • Applicants who have a passion for STEAM and gaming preferred but not required
  • We are a Certified Autism Center which means we embrace and encourage neurodivergent kids and team members. The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating and working with people who are neurodiverse as we all neurotypical.
  • Experience in Unity is a plus.
  • Experience in Minecraft and/or Minecraft Education is a plus.
  • Experience with Roblox LUA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where responsibilities may change frequently.
  • Problem solver.

Employment conditions:
Verifiable experience working with children in groups of 10-20 kids
Negative TB Test dated within the past 2 years
Reliable means of transportation
Successful passing of a background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour, + mileage reimbursement and travel time from the center to the school sites and back if applicable.
