Job description

We are seeking a creative, strategic and highly detail-oriented Marketing Manager to lead the marketing vision and execution for a multifaceted organization serving the South Florida communities and families seeking homeschool support nationally.

Our organization includes a K–12 school, an onsite and virtual learning environment and a community-focused classroom initiative offering culinary, music, art, educational programs, special events and community experiences.

This is an opportunity for someone who can look at a diverse organization and create a cohesive marketing strategy that builds awareness, drives enrollment and participation, strengthens our brand and grows our presence in the community and industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the organization's overall marketing vision, strategy and annual marketing plan
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns for the school, community programs, classes and special events
  • Oversee social media strategy, content and engagement, partnering  with our digital media, culinary, arts and musics coaches, as appropriate
  • Identify new and creative ways to reach families, students, community members and local partners
  • Develop campaigns that support school enrollment, program participation, event attendance and community engagement
  • Manage the marketing calendar and ensure campaigns and communications are executed accurately and on time
  • Collaborate with leadership, program teams, instructors and outside partners to identify marketing opportunities
  • Monitor and measure marketing performance and use data to improve results
  • Stay current on marketing trends, social media, digital platforms and emerging opportunities
  • Bring new ideas, perspectives, and expertise to help us think differently about how we market our organization
  • Build relationships with relevant local businesses, organizations, media and community partners

What We're Looking For

  • Proven marketing experience with the ability to develop a vision and turn it into action
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, branding and community marketing
  • Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Creative thinker who isn't afraid to challenge traditional approaches
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure results and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, multifaceted environment where priorities can change
  • A strong working knowledge of the South Florida and national education markets
  • Experience in education, community organizations, events, hospitality, culinary, arts or similar environments is a major plus

The Person We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who doesn't just execute a marketing plan—we want someone who can help us determine what that plan should be.

You should be curious, entrepreneurial, digitally savvy, highly organized and willing to bring your expertise to the organization. We want to learn from you. You should see opportunities where others might not and be excited about marketing an organization that brings together education, community, creativity and experiences. Could be a Hybrid role for the right skill set.

Company Description

Space of Mind was founded in 2004 as a private coaching company guiding stressed out families. While working along clients in homes, schools and on-the-go, founder Ali Kaufman quickly came to realize that school was the main stressor in most households. After achieving a level of success helping students and their parents create productive homework, time management and clutter management strategies, Ali began working with teachers, guidance counselors and school teams to help translate that success into the classroom.

Frustrated with the lack of flexibility within the traditional school system to meet students’ individual needs, Ali started her own social homeschool program in September, 2010 with just three students in her living room. Quickly, that group grew, and by the time SOM moved into the historic Clarke House (circa 1896) in Downtown Delray Beach in April, 2011, there were eight students!
