Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Kankakee is seeking qualified applicants for a Shift Millwright position. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
• Developing and promoting safe work practices
• Maintaining daily records in a computerized maintenance system
• Applying technical knowledge to improve the conditions of all mill equipment, overhead cranes, etc.
• Utilize skills toward preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on all equipment
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
