Job Title: Millwork Production Manager
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, TX

Position Overview

One of our clients is seeking an experienced and highly organized Millwork Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a commercial millwork manufacturing facility. This individual will coordinate production activities from project release through final completion while ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of commercial millwork construction, proven leadership abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and prioritize production schedules based on customer requirements and project deadlines.

  • Perform material takeoffs and prepare shop packages for production.

  • Program and utilize Mozaik and/or CutRite software for production planning.

  • Coordinate workflow between engineering, purchasing, production, finishing, delivery, and installation teams.

  • Monitor shop capacity and effectively allocate labor and resources.

  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

Material Management

  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.

  • Perform material takeoffs for casework, countertops, hardware, sheet goods, solid surface materials, laminates, and related components.

  • Coordinate material ordering and deliveries to support production schedules.

  • Manage inventory while minimizing waste and excess stock.

Production Oversight

  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations throughout the production process.

  • Ensure work is completed according to specifications, quality standards, and production timelines.

  • Monitor labor efficiency, productivity, and material utilization.

  • Implement and maintain quality-control procedures.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to resolve production-related issues.

Leadership & Safety

  • Train, mentor, and develop shop personnel.

  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct regular production meetings and clearly communicate priorities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of management experience in commercial millwork manufacturing, cabinetry, architectural woodworking, or a related industry.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial millwork construction methods, materials, and processes.

  • Experience performing material takeoffs and ordering materials.

  • Experience managing production schedules and multiple concurrent projects.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.

  • Knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes and production workflows.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask effectively.
