Job Description
We are a contracting firm working in the Baltimore and DC Metro areas and surrounding counties specializing in high end award winning projects including theaters and complete renovation and remodeling projects.
We are looking for a full-time Junior Carpenter with 3 to 5 years of experience to assist our Gramophone Design & Build team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Complete carpentry related projects, including but not limited to kitchens, basements, and remodeling
  • Framing
  • Drywall
  • Finish carpentry including installation of trim/millwork, wall panels, casework and cabinetry
  • Door installation
  • Crown moulding
  • Minor demolition required on some projects

Requirements:
  • Personal set of tools, including hand tools and basic power tools, to use on the job
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in carpentry

Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand building plans and specifications
  • Ability to work efficiently while delivering top quality workmanship
  • Excellent time and schedule management
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time
  • Ability to motivate associates and team members
  • Ability to work effectively with trade subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Ability to communicate with division manager to maintain timely project scheduling and completeness
