Summary

Our client, a full service architectural millwork shop, is actively seeking an experienced Millwork/Casework Estimator to join their team. The individual will be responsible for managing the bid process to create timely and accurate cost estimates for Casework, Millwork, and other finish carpentry. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of millwork materials, construction methods and industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review architectural, engineering, and interior design drawings and project specifications.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for casework, millwork, and finish carpentry.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Analyze project requirements, create a detailed project plan, and scope of work.
  • Work with production team to establish plans of action for successful transitions from estimating to production and project management.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing for materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of relevant industry trends, project costs and expenses.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and contractors regarding project details and specifications.
  • Ensure design compliance with all relevant building codes, safety standards, regulations, and client needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in millwork estimating or related field.
  • Knowledge of cabinetry and millwork materials and construction techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read architectural drawings and project specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
