Position Summary
Allegheny Millwork, Inc. is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts across all of the Allegheny Diversified companies. This role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent across a diverse range of positions, from skilled trades and manufacturing to professional and administrative roles. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-company environment and brings a strategic, relationship-driven approach to talent acquisition.
Position Details
Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Department: Human Resources
Location: Pittsburgh, PA area preferred, with periodic travel to company locations as needed
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for all of the Allegheny Diversified companies, from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding coordination.
  • Partner with managers across each company to understand workforce needs, define position requirements, and develop targeted recruiting strategies.
  • Source candidates through a variety of channels including job boards, social media, industry networks, trade schools, career fairs, and employee referrals.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for recurring and hard-to-fill positions, particularly in skilled trades, construction, and manufacturing.
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates to ensure alignment with position requirements, company culture, and long-term organizational goals.
  • Manage and optimize the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring accurate data entry, timely communication with candidates, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Develop and promote the employer brand across all of the Allegheny Diversified companies, creating compelling job postings and leveraging social media and digital platforms.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs, trade school events, open houses, and other recruiting events to expand the candidate pipeline.
  • Track and report on recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance rates.
  • Ensure all recruiting activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO and OFCCP regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on onboarding, retention initiatives, and workforce planning.
Qualifications
Required
  • A combination of education and relevant professional experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources.
  • 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a multi-site or multi-company environment.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting for a mix of skilled trades, manufacturing, construction, and professional/administrative roles.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.).
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and follow-through.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to hiring and recruitment.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience recruiting in the construction, millwork, manufacturing, or building products industries.
  • Experience with workforce planning and headcount forecasting.
