Where You Will Work

What You Will Do
Under general supervision, supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.
 
  • Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules
  • Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning
  • Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations
  • Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained
  • Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales
  • Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors
  • Perform other duties as required
What You Bring To Freeport
Minimum Qualifications
 
  • High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience
  • Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required
  • Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
  • Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects
  • Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$97,500 - $138,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
