Basic Job Functions:

The Piler Operator is responsible for, but not limited to, all aspects, to include maintaining of the piler, banding equipment, and shipping table machines. The Piler Operator will assist with minor repairs on all equipment within the finishing bay, by using various hand tools and torches. In addition, the operator will be required to assist in other job functions on the crew as needed. The Operator will communicate lengths of bars being produced to meet customer orders. Must obtain and maintain forklift certification and basic rigging within the first 30 days in job and maintain those certifications throughout. The Piler Operator will work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

One year of roll mill beam processing experience.

Experience operating banding equipment.
