Description
The fluid shipping & receiving operator is responsible for the efficient operation of equipment within the load-out and fluid receiving areas at Grassland Dairy Products Inc. and Greenwood Milk Products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
  • Verify quality control items such as product composition, temperature, and physical/chemical properties.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and sanitation of department and equipment.
  • Maintain proper documentation practices throughout all recordkeeping.
  • Continually learn and understand incoming and outgoing products.
  • Operation of company tandem axle, quad axle, and semi-tanker trucks.
  • Communicate professionally with third party haulers and drivers.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.
  • Basic understanding of product flows and troubleshooting ability.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable working from heights and truck tops.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of required vehicles.
  • Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for Preventative Controls

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Milk Truck/Tanker operation experience preferred.
  • Maintain an up to date weigher and sampler's license.
  • Must pass the Grassland Driver Certification.
  • Maintain Antibiotic Testing Certification
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
