Position Summary

Trideum Corporation is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to support multiple software and simulation development efforts at the U.S. Army Redstone Test Center (RTC) in support of Army Aviation programs. This role focuses on the development, integration, and sustainment of large-scale modeling and simulation toolsets used for performance assessment and evaluation across crewed and uncrewed aviation systems. The position involves creating and supporting high-fidelity, real-time simulation capabilities and designing distributed simulation architectures that enable complex mission scenarios.

What Youll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain modeling and simulation software to support mission analysis, scenario development, and system performance assessments
  • Implement integration solutions to connect simulation software with other models, tools, and system interfaces used across RTC programs
  • Create and customize simulation models that represent sensors, aircraft, communication systems, and other aviation-related components
  • Support all aspects of the Agile and Scrum software development process
  • Work with a core group of software and simulation engineers to provide modeling and simulation solutions for government customers
  • Coordinate software interfaces and align development efforts with systems engineering requirements activities

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited school in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering)
  • Experience implementing algorithms for system behavior modeling, mission logic, or sensor and avionics representation within simulation software
  • Knowledge of real-time simulation frameworks, military simulation systems, and modeling methodologies
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or similar languages
  • Experience with software development environments utilizing Agile methodologies
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance is preferred
  • Experience working with established modeling and simulation tools such as CDS3, AFSIM, OneSAF, or similar systems
  • Experience with distributed simulation protocols including DIS, TENA, and HLA
  • Experience in LVC (Live, Virtual, and Constructive) test and/or training environments
  • Experience with US Army Aviation system modeling and simulation tools
