Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Sr. M&S Engineer/AFSIM Specialist to join our team! In this role, you willleverage advanced simulation software to analyze complex defense systems, predict multi-domain operational outcomes, and design data-driven scenarios to support critical mission requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • AFSIM Development:Script, develop, and execute complex operational scenarios within AFSIM to meet customer requirements and support high-level system analysis

  • Analytical Collaboration:Partner with data analysts and systems engineers to research, model, experiment, and analyzeDepartment of Defense (DoD)capabilities, platforms, and MBSE processes using AFSIM

  • Customer Engagement:Represent the program at technical interchange meetings and weekly planning sessions with U.S. Government customers, providing authoritative expertise on AFSIM scripting and simulation frameworks

  • System Integration:Utilize new developments alongside AFSIM for comprehensive threat simulation and multi-domain analysis tasks

  • Agile Adaptability:Dynamically adjust to shifting mission priorities, manage multiple project responsibilities effectively, and support non-standard hours or schedules when required to meet critical project milestones

Required Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field and 8+ years of relevant professional engineering experience; additional years of direct M&S experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Extensive, hands-on experience with scripting, scenario development, and configuration within the Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM).

  • Proven track record collaborating with military analysts in the research, modeling, experimentation, and analysis of DoD capabilities, network topologies, and simulation environments

  • Strong background developing data-driven analytical methods and simulations for large-scale system performance analysis


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with simulation tools such as Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) filter and/or Tactical Data Analysis and Connectivity System

  • Familiarity with Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) and other Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) distributed simulation standards

  • Experience with Link 16 and/or Command & Control (C2) communications

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, CRI-O, or other containers

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, and related orchestration tools

  • Experience with Next Generation Threat System (NGTS)
