Location: Phoenix, Arizona (must reside near Phoenix)
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $35–$45/hr (includes $6,000 car allowance) + 5% Bonus

Overview:
Sterling Engineering is seeking multiple Field Service Engineers to join a rapidly growing power distribution company serving top-tier data center clients in the Phoenix area. This is a remote travel role—engineers must be located near Phoenix and will travel locally to client sites as needed. Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of power distribution systems in data centers.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and professional communication.
  • Travel locally around Phoenix using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed); typical workload of 40–50 hours/week with occasional nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
  • Conduct system diagnostics, AC/DC power troubleshooting, and break/fix services on electrical panels and associated power systems.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and customer support teams to resolve field issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate service records, customer communication logs, and travel documentation using company systems.
Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems, preferably in high-voltage or AC/DC power distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting principles; experience in data centers or mission-critical environments is a plus.
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing role with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must reside near Phoenix and be able to travel locally using a personal vehicle; $6,000 annual car allowance included.
  • Military veterans are highly preferred.
  • Flexible and dependable, able to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins as needed.
