As a Field Service Engineer,ย you'llย bring the technical discipline, precision, and equipmentย expertiseย you developed in the military to support ASM's advanced semiconductor tools and help our customers keep theirย fabsย running at peak performance.ย You'llย work with the same mindset youย reliedย on in missioncritical environments-applying your engineering background and realworld troubleshooting experience to technologies that power AI, 5G, cloud computing, and nextgeneration devices. From day one,ย you'llย receive structured training and handson guidance from experienced engineers onsite.ย You'llย work with vacuum systems, plasma, chemical delivery, robotics, sensors, advanced metrology, and complex hardwaresoftware interactions-equipment that will feel familiar ifย you'veย maintainedย avionics, electronics, propulsion, navigation, comms, radar, robotics, or similar military systems. Your contributions will directlyย impactย tool performance, system uptime, and customer success, formingย a strong foundationย for longterm growth and a variety of career paths within ASM.ย 

Shifts available:

  • Shift 4 (6pm-6am)- Sun-Tu and every other Saturday
  • Shift 6 (6pm- 6am)- Wed-Fri and every other Saturday

What you will be working onย 

  • Install,ย maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sites
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process issues in collaboration with senior engineering staff
  • Deliver responsive, customerfocused service with a strong commitment to safety and operational discipline
  • Working in cleanroom environments while following strict safety and quality standards
  • Assisting, identifyingย andย contributing to continuous improvement effortsย 
  • Participate in escalations and crossfunctional problemsolving
  • Work on an assigned shift schedule supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations

What we are looking forย 

  • Bachelor's orย master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on technical experienceย maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems
  • Proven ability to diagnose complex system faults, follow technical procedures with precision, and maintain equipment in missioncritical environmentsย 
  • Experience working under strict safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and highreliability operational standards
  • Comfort working in shift-based environments where readiness, accountability, and teamwork are essential
  • Demonstratedability to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly to changing conditions, and take ownership of equipment performance in demanding situationsย 
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic and electromechanical schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and disciplined adherence to safety
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
