Job description

(Chicago, IL) OA/DA Military Move Specialist - 3+ Years of experience in the moving/relocation

The OA/DA Military Move Specialist is responsible for managing military moves that are awarded through third-party bid boards and small shipment relocation moves (SSP). When managing military moves, this position does not work directly with military members or government entities but instead coordinates awarded moves in partnership with Military Move Brokers and internal operations teams.

The OA/DA Military Move Specialist executes all move-related tasks in accordance with established procedures, service standards, and operational guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Monitor and manage move opportunities through third-party bid boards.

· Review moves details, scope, timelines, and service requirements to ensure accurate bid.

· Coordinate packing, transportation, storage, delivery, and specialty services as required.

· Work with approved third-party vendors to fulfill services not performed internally.

· Make appropriate decisions when monitoring moves and its progress while addressing issues, exceptions, and/or delays.

· Escalate service issues, delays, or exceptions following established escalation procedures, i.e., Red Alert.

· Trouble-shoot challenges

· Ensure moves are completed on schedule and in compliance with service expectations.

· Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards. Support billing accuracy by confirming move completion details and documentation.

· Support post-move follow-up and close-out activities as required.

· Work with software programs to update Planning for appropriate move.

· Forward positive and negative feedback to the Outside Agents

· Audit invoices

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 3+ Years of experience in the moving/relocation customer service industry, preferably in 3rd party Military moves.

· Exceptional organizational and time management skills a must

· Exceptional attention to details skill

· Excellent customer service skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong level of comfort with MS Office Suite and using proprietary software

· Strong ability to manage multiple awarded moves simultaneously.

· Experience supporting high-volume move environments.

Physical Requirements

· Work at a computer for extended periods of time

· Move about the office to access office machinery, cabinets, etc.

· Operate a computer and other office machinery

· Communicates frequently over the phone

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
