Job description

Overview
Testing personnel are responsible for specimen processing, test performance and for reporting test results. Testing personnel are also accountable for assisting with all duties within the laboratory as delegated and within the scope of regulatory and accrediting bodies and the policies, procedures and standards of Conway Regional Medical Center. Testing personnel will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications
Have earned an Associate Degree in medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR
Have passed the Health and Human Services proficiency exam on or before February 28, 1992 OR
โ€ข Have earned an associate degree in medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR
โ€ข Have passed the Health and Human Services proficiency exam on or before February 28, 1992 OR
โ€ข On or before April 24, 1995, be a high school graduate or equivalent and have either graduated from an approved or accredited medical laboratory or clinical laboratory training program or successfully completed an official US military medical laboratory training course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist
โ€ข Testing personnel of Conway Regional Health System Clinical Laboratories must have successfully completed board registry exams and maintain valid licensure
o New graduates are allowed one year from completion of academic program to attain certification
On or before April 24, 1995, be a high school graduate or equivalent and have either graduated from an approved or accredited medical laboratory or clinical laboratory training program or successfully completed an official US military medical laboratory training course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist.
Testing personnel of Conway Regional Health System Clinical Laboratories must have successfully completed board registry exams and maintain valid licensure. Graduates are allowed one year to attain certification.
