Job description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ability to safely operate all equipment and systems in machining area.
  • Proficient at dimensionally checking parts using precision measuring tools
  • Programs CNC machines tools in the course of making parts
  • Sets up and operates all available machine tools and performs progressive machining operations
  • Determines and prioritizes job shop production operation sequence
  • Operate 3 & 4-axis CNC lathes and mills. Currently utilizing Hurco and Okuma vertical mills, Cincinnati Horizontal mills, Mazak lathes, and Hurco mill/turn lathe.
  • Interacts and coordinates with other functions (Engineering, Quality, etc.)
  • Enters process performance data when required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years minimum experience in CNC and conventional machining
  • HURCO, Okuma & Cincinnati Milacron CNC Experience preferred
  • Experience operating Lathes or Mills
  • Mill Machining experience preferred
  • A certificate from an accredited trade school in machining or equivalent experience
  • Specific knowledge of appropriate feeds, speed, and tooling for a wide range of materials
  • Ability to prove out new NC file programs; Edit feeds and speeds; Extend or shorten tool extension as needed per machining conditions; Increase efficiency and/or to achieve surface finish requirements.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
