Job description

We’re looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Lead Consultant to guide end-to-end migration efforts for a major ERP transformation initiative. In this role, you’ll help shape migration strategy, drive data quality and governance, and support the successful transition of critical business data into SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full data migration workstream from planning and design through testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare support
  • Partner with business stakeholders, functional teams, solution architects, integration teams, and data owners to define migration needs and priorities
  • Develop migration strategies aligned to S/4HANA business processes and project goals
  • Oversee data discovery, profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and loading activities
  • Facilitate workshops to define source-to-target mappings, business rules, transformation logic, and data governance standards
  • Manage migration activities for master, transactional, historical, and reference data across key business areas
  • Build and maintain migration documentation, including strategy, mapping specifications, reconciliation reports, and runbooks
  • Support mock conversions, testing cycles, dress rehearsals, and production cutovers
  • Track issues, manage risks, and coordinate resolution of data quality and migration defects
  • Provide regular progress updates and recommendations to project leadership and business teams
  • Work closely with SAP functional leads to ensure migration design supports the target solution
Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in ERP data migration and data transformation projects
  • 5+ years of experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA data migration initiatives
  • Strong understanding of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA data structures and business processes
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, SAP BTP Integration and Data Services, or similar ETL tools
  • Experience leading end-to-end migration workstreams on large-scale transformation programs
  • Proven ability to manage offshore and onshore teams
  • Knowledge of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and master data management practices
  • Experience supporting finance, procurement, order-to-cash, project systems, and asset management data needs
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational abilities
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations in professional services, financial services, or large enterprise environments
  • SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Certification
  • Experience with SAP Business Partner conversion and Simplification Items
  • Experience migrating data from multiple source systems into a consolidated S/4HANA landscape
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP Data & Analytics services
  • Experience supporting global ERP transformation programs
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and perspectives
