Job description

Opportunity: VSO is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of an AWS cloud migration initiatives. In this role, you will own the delivery of large-scale cloud migration and modernization efforts coordinating cloud engineers, network architects, and security teams to design and implement secure, high-performance network environments on AWS, including hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and AWS GovCloud. You will drive schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management across complex multi-account AWS environments, ensuring the program delivers reliable, resilient, and auditable outcomes that meet federal security and compliance requirements. You will serve as the primary point of coordination between the technical delivery team and stakeholders, translating program objectives into actionable plans and keeping delivery on track. Responsibilities: *  Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for AWS cloud migration and network modernization initiatives 
* Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans across complex multi-account AWS environments
* Coordinate cross-functional teams of cloud engineers, network architects, and security personnel to ensure on-time, on-budget, on-scope delivery
* Own data center-to-cloud cutover planning and execution, sequencing dependencies across network, security, and application workstreams
* Manage stakeholder communications with government program offices, providing status reporting, risk assessments, and timely issue escalation
* Track and manage program risks, issues, and action items; develop and drive mitigation strategies for schedule and technical risks
* Ensure all project deliverables and processes meet federal security requirements
* Manage project scope and change control, and maintain documentation
* Facilitate agile ceremonies and/or traditional milestone reviews as appropriate, adapting methodology to program and stakeholder needs
* Support budget tracking, resource allocation, and invoicing coordination across the project lifecycle
* Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings and status reports to government stakeholders and VSO leadership  Requirements *  7+ years of professional experience in project management, with a focus on IT, cloud infrastructure, or network modernization programs
* Demonstrated experience managing large-scale AWS cloud migration or modernization initiatives, ideally involving hybrid on-premises to AWS GovCloud environments
* Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams (cloud engineers, network architects, security teams) in a matrixed program environment
* Working knowledge of core cloud networking and migration concepts (e.g., VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, hybrid connectivity) sufficient to manage technical dependencies and risk
* Proven track record managing project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and stakeholder communications on federal or DoD programs
* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) delivery practices (Terraform or CloudFormation) and their impact on project planning is a plus
* Comfort operating in both agile and traditional/waterfall project management approaches within a federal contracting environment
* PMP certification preferred, not required
* Top Secret clearance required 
* Ability to travel to Millington, TN occasionally, position is otherwise remote
