Position Summary: The Designer III will be able to create a model from customer or GC supplied model. Import Commonwealth content to have a working electrical model. Supervise other Designers assigned to project. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Layout electrical equipment for field installation
  • Coordinate field installation drawings with project foremen
  • Create 3D models utilizing Autodesk Revit
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
  • Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit
  • Attend weekly coordination meetings with project team members
  • Lead and supervise other Designers assigned to projects
  • Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery
  • All other duties as assigned and required

Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical construction processes and procedures
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
  • Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education and Experience:
  • At least 6 years relevant experience with progressive responsibilities including team management.
  • Associates degree in 3D Modeling OR journeyman electrician license preferred.
