Job description

Schimberg Co. is family-owned pipe, valve, and fitting wholesale distributor with locations across the Midwest. Since 1918 we've served a diverse list of industrial and commercial customers. We are adding a warehouse worker to our Cedar Rapids location. Learn the pipe, valve, and fitting distribution industry with opportunities to cross train and build a rewarding career with us.
We offer a competitive hourly rate based on experience and a complete benefit package including: medical and dental insurance, life insurance, flexible spending plan, paid holidays, paid-time off, paid uniform rentals, generous retirement package, and more.
What you'll do:
  • Receive and unload materials by hand or forklift
  • Stock material into inventory
  • Pull and stage orders for delivery
  • Load and secure flatbed trailers for delivery
  • Assist walk-in customers at our counter

This is a full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday. Start time between 7am-8am, with overtime as needed.
What you'll need:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs regularly, up to 100lbs occasionally. You'll be on your feet, walking, climbing ladders, lifting and moving material by hand or forklift throughout the day.

Warehouse workers are required to complete pre-employment drug screen as condition of hire.
