Job description

Job Summary:
This position is based in Western Midstream's Rockies Region (Longmont, CO) and supports the DJ Basin Midstream LDAR program. The role is responsible for performing regulatory inspections, ensuring compliance with state and federal air regulations, and supporting safe, efficient facility operations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in natural gas midstream operations or optical gas imaging (3+ years preferred)
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP
  • OGI Level 1 Certification (FLIR or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of state and federal air regulations (e.g., OOOOa/b/c)
  • Experience with TrueContext
  • Familiarity with rod packing measurements and engine testing requirements
  • Working knowledge of compressor stations, gas plants, and pipeline launcher/receiver systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a high-performing, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:
  • Perform LDAR inspections and re-inspections within required regulatory timelines
  • Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal safety and environmental requirements
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records and reports of all inspection and testing activities
  • Operate and maintain FLIR/OGI equipment, including required daily and annual calibrations
  • Utilize SAP, TrueContext, and PTT for work order management, data entry, and maintenance tracking
  • Communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, I&E, supervision, and contractors
  • Identify, document, and communicate issues, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Support gas plant LDAR program and provide backup to LDAR analysts as needed
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and assist with basic maintenance activities
  • Maintain assigned vehicle and tools in safe, working conditions.
  • Work variable hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed
  • Operate safely in all field conditions, including adverse weather and hazardous environments
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across all work areas

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications/Licenses:
Valid US driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for domestic relocation.
Travel Requirements:
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.
Work Schedule:
This position will be a 4/40 or 5/40 schedule and may require overtime, weekends, and holidays.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $39.70 - $46.55; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, Western Midstream offers a competitive benefits package that emphasizes pay-for-performance compensation, work/life balance, premium health benefits, and a top-tier savings plan.
