Middle Spanish & French Teacher and Advisor
Fort Worth Country Day is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered educator who loves teaching middle school students and is eager to join a vibrant community. Reporting to the Head of Middle School, this dynamic, highly qualified, and approachable teacher will serve as both a member of the Modern and Classical Languages department and an advisor, beginning in August 2026.
Our ideal candidate builds strong relationships with students and designs engaging, collaborative lessons that invite learners to construct knowledge together. They also have classroom management skills which emphasize mutual respect and positive reinforcement. We value educators who bring a balanced pedagogical toolkit grounded in research-supported methods while remaining open to exploring new approaches.
Beyond the classroom, we seek educators who look forward to participating in the broader life of the school in ways that are sustainable and support a healthy work-life balance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Teach two Spanish and two French classes to middle school students
  • Serve as an advisor for twelve to fourteen sixth or seventh grade students
  • Clearly communicate classroom expectations and grade student work in a timely manner using growth-mindset feedback
  • Develop strong partnerships with families
