Middle School Math Teacher at Valley School Share on X Print Application Deadline 9/8/2026 12:00 AM Pacific Date Posted 7/10/2026 Contact James Haddad 818-786-4720 Number of Openings 1 Salary Pay dependent on experience Length of Work Year 10 months Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary Valley School, an ECC through 8th grade private school is currently seeking one Seventh and Eighth Grade Math Teacher. Compensation is commensurate upon experience. The successful candidate must be able to teach Math in a self contained classroom to 7th and 8th grade students.

Applicants must demonstrate a dedication to creating a strong classroom culture in an academically rigorous learning environment. The candidate must be proficient in Google Classroom, and be fully competent in a multitude of instructional strategies including, but not limited to: direct teacher instruction, collaborative group work, and especially Project Based Learning. A Bachelor's degree required, as is experience teaching middle school grade levels.

A California teaching credential and/or an advanced degree is preferred. Essential qualifications: creative, collaborative, energetic, warm personality, and good organizational skills. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with administrators, parents, students, and co-workers.

Other major responsibilities include advising and yard duty supervision. The review of candidates will begin immediately with a start date in August, 2026.
