Senior.NET Developer

Apex Systems, the nation’s 2nd largest Information Technology staffing firm, has an opportunity for a Senior.NET Developer to work for one of our local clients here in Tampa, FL.

Applicants must have 5-7 years of Middle tier/ Back End EXPERIENCE and have technical experience with.NET, C#, DB. If interested please reach out. The position requires someone eligible to work in the United States and candidate must be available to work as a direct W2 employee of client Systems Inc.

Position Details:

Position: Senior .NET Developer

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-6 Month CTH

  • Understand and review business requirements and requests from health plans in order to assess, design, code, test and implement system enhancements
  • Extensive experience as a developer, ideally in a healthcare environment for claims processing (AMISYS experience is desired)
  • Function as a scrum team member, with significant experience working as a developer in an agile environment.
  • Coordinate releases across all team members and across interfacing systems, and the ability to branching and merging multiple code versions. Experience in GitLab is a plus
  • Create process flows and documentation of existing and new system functionality
  • Provide on-call support for IT processes and functionality
  • Help identify process issues and define proactive resolutions for those issues through design changes, coding, testing, and implementation
  • Identify dependencies and risks associated with system enhancements
  • Ability to investigate and triage issues associated with Claims processing

Required Skills:

  1. Middle-tier back-end development
  2. .NET Core - Does not need 5 years exactly but a candidate that has participated in a Modernization effort
  3. C#
  4. Any relational DB experiences

NICE TO HAVES

  1. COBOL –
  2. AWS experience

Project details:

  • Modernizing applications, all brand new development
  • Will be Decomposing Cobol application and switching to .Net Core in a Microservices environment, they are also in the midst of moving everything to Aws cloud,
  • If they are not doing new development, it is only because something broke
    • Doing some work with COBOL and moving that into Pseudocode
    • Provider validation – someone who is allowed to bill for a certain service, they do this using an API or an API call to obtain additional data. May be taking a process and adding a new instance
