Serving the commercial and industrial construction industry, Mid-State Metals has built a solid reputation for managing and completing an array of projects through our commitment to safety and customer service. Mid-State Metals is a true turn-key miscellaneous metals contractor. From estimating, detailing and design, to Erection and close out, our projects are handled in-house allowing us to adapt quickly to your project needs. Our certified welders and craftsman have the ability to weld and fabricate steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Mid-State Metals LLC is centrally located in Orlando, Florida. We have the ability to ship our custom products throughout the United States. We also erect our products on job sites throughout the Southeastern US.

Job Description

We are seeking skilled and reliable Field Welders with current 3G/4G certifications and hands-on experience working with miscellaneous metals such as stairs, handrails and light structural components.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in stick welding, grinding, and interpreting blueprints and work instructions to complete installations with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform stick welding and other welding techniques on steel, aluminum and stainless steel materials.
  • Grind railings, stairs and structural components according to specifications.
  • Operate grinders, band saws and other standard ironworker tools.
  • Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, Mid-State, and General Contractor regulations.
  • Travel to job sites and adapt to various work schedules as needed.
  • Lift and carry up to 75 pounds safely.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
Qualifications
  • Certified in 3G/4G welding is preferred (company will certify also).
  • Proven experience in stick welding, particularly with stairs, railings and light structures.
  • Proficient in using grinders, band saws, and standard fabrication tools.
  • Experience with aluminum and stainless welding preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints.
  • Familiarity with construction job sites and safety protocols.
  • Must be dependable, team-oriented, and flexible with work hours and travel requirements.
