SCHEDULE:  Full Time, Onsite 
TRAVEL REQUIRED:  0% - 5% 

COMPENSATION: $44,552.00 to $80,604.00  base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

About Our Opportunity

The Financial Relationship Coordinator provides exceptional customer experience by supporting the delivery of financial services through establishing, developing, and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Responsibilities include handling incoming phone calls, walk-in customers, financial transactions, monetary accounting activities, funds deposits, and daily reports.  Assists in proactively identifying service office needs and providing administrative support for the marketplace.

This role contributes independently to routine and recurring work with growing confidence and consistency. It applies established procedures, manages assigned responsibilities effectively, and collaborates with others to support business outcomes. Team members at this level are expanding functional knowledge, strengthening judgment, and developing problem-solving skills within defined parameters.

How You Will Spend Your Time
  • Creates a positive customer experience by delivering timely, thorough, and responsive service that meets customer needs across all business segments while adhering to internal deadlines.
  • Leads daily monetary transaction processing in accordance with safe industry practices, applicable laws, regulations, required reporting, and procedural guidelines to minimize risk to the Association.
  • Owns and resolves account discrepancies and loan servicing activities, including overdrafts, insufficient funds, delinquencies, document imaging, payoffs, and lien releases, using available technology to support customers efficiently.
  • Communicates effectively with customers and partners by adapting communication style, demonstrating empathy, actively listening, and ensuring accurate documentation and information flow throughout the lending process.
  • Provides operational and administrative support, serving as the primary contact for facilities vendors, building access and maintenance, office mail, meeting support, office supplies, inventory management, and invoice processing.
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams and supports targeted marketing efforts to ensure customer needs are met at each stage of the lending process.
  • Completes routine assignments independently using established procedures and sound judgment.
  • Applies working knowledge to resolve common issues and identifies when to seek guidance.
  • Communicates clearly with teammates and internal partners to support coordinated work.
  • Organizes workload to meet deadlines and deliver consistent, reliable outcomes.
  • Contributes ideas that strengthen processes, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Uses available tools and resources to resolve straightforward issues and improve confidence.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED with 3 years relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor' degree is preferred.

While engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
