Mid-Level Systems Administrator

The Boeing Company's Specialized United States (US) Infrastructure Operations (SUSIO) Organization is currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join the team in Berkeley, MO.

This position will install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.

As a Systems Administrator, your expertise will play a crucial role in integrating logistics, manufacturing, and engineering into a cohesive ecosystem. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a secure network that supports all tools and, more importantly, the personnel involved in this mission.

This role directly supports our Air Dominance (AD) programs. You will be tasked with installing, operating, securing, and maintaining the dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure necessary for delivering products to our customers. We offer Enterprise capabilities within closed networks, encompassing standard office functions, application development stacks, engineering workflows, vulnerability remediation, and more.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and support a broad range of basic systems and application support activities

  • Provide support for Windows Operating Systems (OS)

  • Provide basic network support

  • Support of VMware ESX environments

  • Provide operations support for both servers and desktop systems

  • Provide analysis of computing requirements

  • Install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software and components

  • Ensure computing inventory tracking and shipping

  • Document and implement computer applications

  • Provide restoration of basic computing service operation

  • Support activities to ensure security of information and systems

  • Provide comprehensive computing support in closed environments

  • Protect classified and proprietary information

  • Support security audits as assigned

  • Maintain knowledge of various government and corporate security plans

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Active CompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience do you have installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 11

  • 3+ years of experience in VMWare Virtualization

  • 3+ years of experience in performing hardware installation, modification and testing

  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions

  • 3+ years of experience with hands on support of IT Hardware such as setting up, configuring, modifying and troubleshooting switches, routers, network equipment, high performance computing equipment, and server racks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience designing & implementing Windows Systems

  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting operating system and installation problems

  • 3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support

  • Experience with maintaining/configuring AD to include applying domain group policies

  • Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems

  • Experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware

  • Experience withNetbackupor Networker

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies

  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Unix/Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/Oracle) server/workstation

  • Experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution

  • Experience Integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
