Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Freight Forwarding Expansion leads the strategy and launch of freight forwarding operations across Walmart’s growing global network. In this role, you’ll operationalize Walmart entities for freight forwarding services that we offer to marketplace sellers. You will influence organizational change, leverage your technical acumen, and work collaboratively with human resources, operations, product, legal, tax, and controllership teams. Your leadership will be pivotal in advancing Walmart’s operational excellence and sustaining competitive advantage in a high growth environment. The role is based in Bentonville and reports to the Senior Director of Global Logistics, Commercial Development. 
About the team:
The team leads the development and growth of global logistics and international freight forwarding services, emphasizing convenience, reliability, and cost efficiency for marketplace sellers. It drives strategic initiatives in ocean and air freight consolidation while aligning commercial product roadmaps with Walmart’s systems strategy. Collaborating across supply chain, marketplace, product, and engineering functions, the team delivers enterprise-wide programs, manages profit and loss, and achieves financial goals. Focused on accountability, integrity, and operational excellence, the team enhances Walmart’s global logistics capabilities through innovative solutions and strong cross-functional partnerships.
What you'll do:
  • Thinking Big - You will build the strategy for freight forwarding global expansion and design the roadmap to exceed customer expectations.
  • Deliver for the Customer - You will deliver launch new market operations on-time, delighting new customers with freight forwarding services.
  • Moving Fast - You will remove obstacles and prioritize critical operational capabilities that ensure compliant, safe, and successful services.
  • Lead the Global Expansion Project - Lead the execution of plans to launch new markets that drive sales and assortment growth.
  • Work Cross-Functionally - Communication and collaboration are key to your success. You will partner with multiple stakeholders to reach consensus with speed.

  • You have a background in ocean freight, freight forwarding, supply chain, and cross border logistics process design.
  • You have managed freight forwarding agent networks or wholly owned branches to ensure tax, accounting, compliance, and legal requirements are successfully delivered.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
