As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will involve:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' histories and develop tailored treatment approaches.
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on recovery, resilience, and coping strategies, taking into account each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
• Delivering individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process trauma and gain valuable coping mechanisms.
• Collaboratively working with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrative and holistic care.
• Offering crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calm and composed leadership in high-stress situations.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources within the community.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal standards, ensuring the highest level of ethical practice.
• Engaging in continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest research and effective practices in trauma therapy.

Your focus will primarily be on individuals who are navigating the complexities of trauma and its psychological manifestations. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• A demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and preferred treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software applications.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma populations.
• Direct experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
