Documentum Developer

Primary:

Participate in the software design, development, and implementation of applications using OpenText Documentum Captiva and RightFax. Update workflows for Business processes and run DQL/APIs to extract reports.

Secondary: Documentum, Captiva, and RightFax Administrator.

This individual will be responsible for day-to-day support of client content management system โ€“ Documentum, along with support of Captiva, and RightFax. They would be part of a 24x7 on call support team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the software design, development, and implementation of applications using OpenText Documentum.
  • Managing updating and customizing Webtops for Documentum.
  • Rewrite Java Methods and other Docbase customizations when needed.
  • Update workflows for Business processes.
  • Run DQL/APIs to extract reports.
  • Setup and support REST processes.
  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
  • Participate in design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs.
  • Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Administrate Linux and Windows servers.
  • Support Documentum, Captiva, and RightFax.
  • Patch and update Applications, Operating Systems, and Databases.
  • Support applications and users as part of a 24x7 on call support team.
  • Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
  • Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs and workflows to meet business needs.
  • Provide guidance on industry best and secure practices.
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems.

Requirements:

  • 2 years developing with Documentum and Captiva (OpenText technology)
  • Advanced knowledge DQL, API and fundamental Documentum core functionality
  • Expert in Java / J2EE.
  • Knowledge in Linux and Windows server support.
  • Pluses
  • .Net, PowerShell, and/or Bash coding
  • Background in supporting OpenText Documentum, Captiva, and RightFax.
  • Customer remote support.
