Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will lead the maintenance organization, oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, drive equipment reliability improvements, manage tactical capital projects, and partner closely with Operations, EHS, Engineering, and Production to eliminate equipment-related risks, improve uptime, and support a manufacturing facility with a diverse mix of assets, many of which are in a sustainment phase. This individual will foster a service-oriented maintenance culture where safety, responsiveness, and operational excellence are embedded in every aspect of maintenance and reliability activities.

The successful candidate will bring a service-oriented leadership style and be energized by building a maintenance organization that is viewed as a trusted business partner at the site. This individual will leverage reliability best practices, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement to reduce downtime, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and support the site's long-term strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the site's asset reliability strategy to maximize equipment uptime, operational safety, and manufacturing performance.
  • Lead the maintenance organization in transitioning from reactive maintenance to preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through data analysis, root cause investigations, and continuous reliability improvements.
  • Establish and monitor reliability KPIs to drive equipment performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead all maintenance operations, including work planning, scheduling, backlog management, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Optimize maintenance programs and asset performance through effective use of the FiiX CMMS and other maintenance systems.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) activities and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability, productivity, and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Develop long-term equipment lifecycle strategies while supporting a manufacturing facility with a combination of legacy and sustaining assets.
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage capital improvement projects that strengthen asset reliability, operational performance, and business continuity.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP and other business systems to support maintenance planning, purchasing, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Develop maintenance dashboards, analytics, and standardized work processes to improve operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team by establishing clear expectations, promoting accountability, and supporting professional growth.
  • Foster a culture centered on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Continuous Improvement, and customer-focused service while ensuring maintenance activities align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance, reliability, or asset management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience managing maintenance or reliability teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms (FiiX preferred), Oracle ERP or similar enterprise systems, and maintenance planning processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, utilities, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, and capital project management.
