Summary:

The Business Assurance Testing Analyst oversees business testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects, releases, and system changes. This role develops and manages test plans, coordinates testing with business and technical teams, tracks defects and issues, reviews results, and supports business sign-off before deployment. The position helps ensure solutions meet business needs, quality standards, and readiness expectations.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Leads business testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validation efforts from planning through completion to confirm solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and release readiness expectations.
  • Develops and maintains test strategies, test plans, test cases, scripts, scenarios, and supporting documentation aligned to business requirements, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, change management and system workflows.
  • Coordinates UAT execution with business testers, subject matter experts, project teams, product owners, technical teams, operational stakeholders, and end users.
  • Identifies, documents, tracks, escalates, and supports resolution of defects, issues, dependencies, retesting outcomes, and testing-related risks.
  • Ensures requirements for traceability by linking test cases, validation of activities, defects, results, and evidence to business needs, compliance expectations, and audit requirements.
  • Utilizes data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and visualization tools to manage test data, monitor testing progress, evaluate trends, and support informed decision-making.
  • Communicates testing status, risks, issues, results, release recommendations, and business sign-off readiness to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in test management, quality assurance, business operations, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), systems implementation, process improvement, transformation, consulting, or a related role required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, healthcare administration, quality assurance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • Intermediate experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, test documentation, test result reports, defect reports, and release recommendations required.
  • Intermediate experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, usability, and load/performance testing required.
  • Intermediate experience identifying, documenting, tracking, analyzing, escalating, and resolving defects, configuration issues, interoperability problems, and testing-related risks required.
  • Intermediate ability to interpret business and functional requirements, understand system workflows, support requirements traceability, and translate needs into test scenarios, validation activities, and readiness criteria required.
  • Intermediate analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, stakeholder change management, and communication skills required; experience with test and/or automation management tools (ie: SQL, dashboards, Power BI, Azure DevOps).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.

Compensation Range(s):

Grade E3: Minimum: $62,400 - Maximum: $106,929

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
