We're looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our growing team in West Henrietta, NY!

The Position:
As a Software Test Engineer, you will primarily be working on ourTiming Products. You'll be using your software testing expertise designing and maintaining both automated and manual tests that will assist in ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction all the while working in a fun highly collaborative global environment. The position is onsite in Rochester NY at our West Henrietta location.
The Day to Day:
  • Working closely with other Software Test Engineers and Software Developers designing both automated and manual test cases on the latest GPS-based and alternative PNT equipment and software
  • Testing new products, new features and software releases to ensure our products meet the highest standards and specifications
  • Developing both automated and manual test cases from product requirements
  • Developing automated tests using tools such as Python/Robot Framework & Playwright/Selenium
  • Using oscilloscopes, frequency counters, etc... to test embedded software systems
  • Proficiently configuring network technologies - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, and BGP
  • Working cross-functionally with project teams to understand their needs to develop tests to resolve their problems
  • Create and maintain traceability between test cases and requirements
  • Participating in daily SCRUM/Kanban meetings
  • Working with Customer Service to resolve field related issues
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives
  • Working in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional global teams toward common goals

What you Bring to Safran:
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information or related field
  • Software testing, in an agile environment
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience
  • Experience with Test Management tools
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Python, Robot Framework a plus!
  • Experience using AI tools and intelligent agents to improve testing workflows, streamline processes, and increase operational efficiency is a BIG plus!
  • ISQTB certified is a nice to have
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and written
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in person and with remote global teams
  • Ability to have fun!
