This hands-on approach allows testers to identify issues that automated tests might miss, especially those related to user experience or visual elements. Manual QA is essential during early development stages, exploratory testing, and when testing new features.

Are manual quality assurance testers still in demand?

Manual quality assurance testers are still in demand as many companies require human oversight to identify user experience issues and complex bugs that automated tests may miss. However, combining manual testing skills with knowledge of testing tools and scripting can improve job prospects as automation increasingly complements manual efforts.
