A Mid Level Provider is a healthcare professional who is not a physician but is trained and licensed to provide various medical services. This term commonly refers to nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs), who can diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications, and manage patient care under the supervision of a physician. They often serve as primary or specialty care providers, especially in settings with physician shortages.
