Description:

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Network Engineer 3 to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network environments. This role focuses on advanced network architecture, security enforcement, and performance across complex, high-scale datacenter and enterprise infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in network engineering and security, serving as a senior contributor responsible for designing secure, scalable networks and supporting mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network architectures across LAN and datacenter environments
  • Architect and enforce network security solutions, including firewalls, access controls, and secure boundaries
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot advanced network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Oversee network performance, capacity planning, and optimization efforts
  • Configure and manage secure communications, including IPSEC VPNs and encryption solutions
  • Analyze network traffic and lead packet capture and troubleshooting efforts
  • Apply deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols to maintain resilient network operations
  • Support virtualization technologies, including VMware and container-based environments
  • Maintain documentation and track tasking through ticketing systems
  • Participate in onโ€‘call operations and support highโ€‘availability production environments
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Two (2) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in network engineering, including LAN architecture, monitoring, security, and protection
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC VPNs
Requirements:
